I shall be presenting on Saturn transits at Pantheacon this year!
taurus (Apr. 21st-May 20th)
The stars oh-so-casually mention that “a possible life-long partner” may cross your path this week. So no pressure, or anything. Jeez, we really hope that big zit clears up before the humanoid of your dreams comes around. ‘Cause the potential life-long partner doesn’t have to stop being superficial until after the fifth date.
No, really. My Taurean side wins on this one, I can't stand the idea of committing to a tattoo.
This month you will be focused on making money, raising money, saving money and overall, managing money. The new moon, December 2, will bring a money matter to culmination. You will either write a check or get one - or both.
Definitely writing checks, alas. Rent and all. Feh, I say.
Fortunately, Saturn will be in a stabilizing angle to the full moon, so if you should need more cash and would like to find a part time or full time job, you should be able to get it.
Hmmm? Since when?
The sad thing is that I have a part time job, I just am not legally allowed to be paid for it (plus there are very few paid positions). But it's an awesome organization, so oh well.
If you have a job you've been working at for some time and have asked for a raise, you may now hear news back about that. You have good aspects, so news should be positive. However, even if you don't like the news because they say, "We don't have any more money in the budget," you would be able to find a freelance job that could help cushion your cash flow.
Raise? What raise? I got a pay cut. Why on earth does she think anyone's going to get a raise any more? This reminds me of watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and thinking, "Christmas bonus? What unicorn is that?"
With Mercury retrograde in late month, just don't buy anything expensive, especially not anything electronic. I would say stop buying computers, cell phones, flat screen TVs, and other pricey electronics after December 7. You can go shopping again after January 18 or so, leaving a little room after Mercury goes direct.
And already did that on Black Friday. Hopefully nothing else will die on me between now and then.
Travel is becoming a very big theme for you with the advent of the two impending eclipses, the first arriving on December 31 as a full moon lunar eclipse, and the second one arriving as a new moon solar eclipse next month on January 15. Eclipses always bring unexpected elements to bear, so it's always best to hold back and wait a few days before taking action. It takes a while to fully understand the message of each eclipse. Keep in mind that eclipses rarely deliver their news all at once, for there is always an Act II, so observe carefully.
The December 31 eclipse will fall in your third house, so your close family relatives may be in the spotlight.
What a coincidence, given that it's the frigging holidays and all!
The relative you may be thinking about could be a sister, brother, cousin, an in-law, aunt, or uncle, but NOT likely to be one of your parents. Actually, the eclipse will more likely focus on a woman than a man. One of these individuals may be making news, so you may want to keep your cell phone powered up.
Joy. Drama eruption alert! But again, that's every holiday around here.
There's a very good chance that you will travel on or very near December 31, but it seems you won't go far - only 100 or 200 miles at the most. Because this will be New Year's Eve, it would be best to plan to stay overnight in the town you will visit, even if it is very close to home. This eclipse will be in the highly emotional sign of Cancer, so although as a Taurus you are not an overly emotional creature, others will be on this night. With Mercury retrograde too, people will be distracted or forgetful, so it is not really a night to be driving on the road. Add alcohol and you see the problem - stay safe, stay in the city you are visiting, or hire a limo driver for that evening to get you home.
This eclipse will be in hard angle to Saturn, so you may have to attend to some responsibilities suddenly (and unexpectedly) that may interfere with your plans to ring in the New Year. Stay flexible. Some eclipses affect us not on the day they appear but later. Actually, many eclipses deliver their news one month to the day later, plus or minus five days, so you may be traveling next month, near January 30, or seeing other manifestations of this eclipse come out then.
So, a crappy New Year's where I can't go anywhere and some woman is crying on me? To be honest, that's pretty much every freaking New Year's for me since about 2001. Trapped at home dealing with Parental Drama.
One last possibility exists about how this eclipse may affect you, and it deals with your talent in the communication arts. You may see your book or magazine article be published, or you may unveil a new website or blog. You may be asked to give a speech or hand in an important report or paper. This would be a great way to use this full moon eclipse. If you are on a book tour or speaking tour, you will get quite a bit of publicity.
Hm, that would actually be nice!
Scorpio:
Now let's turn to Uranus, which has influence over your solar fourth house of home and your fifth house of love, which Uranus is visiting now. Now that Uranus is about to turn direct, both areas are due to get a big boost and developments should be obvious. Watch the days that surround December 1 for a sign that a goal related to home, property, or family, or related to your finding and keeping true love, will improve dramatically. If you've had problems settling a matter related to either area of your life, you will be very gratified by the new environment you are entering into now.
That would be nice as well. I can't say I've heard that Uranus gives a boost to those things, but whatever.
Money will be the topic of conversation on the December 2 full moon, plus or minus four days. This full moon should feel quite friendly, so you may see a commission, bonus, or licensing fee from previous efforts come in. The eighth house will be lit, so this house is one that is associated with one-time chunks of cash rather than steady salary money. With Mars in such fine angle to the Sun and moon, the money seems career-oriented, so if the just-mentioned areas don't sound possible, then the money you see may come in the form of venture capital or a bank loan. It is, however, also possible that you will hear of a court settlement or insurance payout. You may also have to send someone a hefty check, but if so, don't be blue, as your outlook for bringing in more money is actually quite upbeat.
I probably won't hold my breath on that.
On the new moon December 16, you may get a raise or job offer. This new moon will be all about money, so be sure you like the job, dear Scorpio. It's not actually a good time to change jobs due to the impending retrograde planets, for you may get into the job and wonder what you were thinking when you accepted it. However, it is a good time to ask for a raise, so you must do so as soon as that new moon appears. If you are self-employed, you may now see money flow in from entrepreneurial projects you seeded earlier.
Raise? Again? What planet are you on?
Okay, so not going to Mexico this year. Fine by me anyway. Though again, this seems to be all "don't travel." It's interesting having your sun and rising signs opposite from each other: somehow the forecasts all come out alike anyway.
For New Year's Eve, you may be traveling to a distant city. This eclipse will fall in your ninth house of long distance travel, so you may even be going abroad. Saturn will be in very hard angle to the Sun and moon from your twelfth house, suggesting that you might have some sort of interaction with medical personnel at the time. I hope this does not happen, but I am seeing the possibility in the chart.
If you do travel, you will have to take precautions to stay well. Don't drink the water if it is not considered perfectly safe, and don't eat any fruit that you didn't peel first. Carry Clorox wipes or other antibacterial towelettes to wipe down your tray table, armrests, and surfaces in the airplane's toilet. Also go over various parts of your hotel room, from TV remote and phone, to draw pulls, light switches, and doorknobs. Budget cuts in every country have caused cutbacks in cleaning staff, so you can't be too careful, especially with Saturn in the twelfth house.
AW CRAP.In the meantime, it looks like the world is due for a bit of a zinger before year's end.
Eclipses bring sudden changes, but they are very effective in making us move on and evolve into more mature beings. Usually the cause is something completely unrelated to anything you've done or have control over. Because the eclipses will be in the parts of your chart ruling information, attitude, and opinion, you may later say you changed your stance on an important topic or relationship when you began to see things in a new light. Eclipses are broadening, forcing us to see a bigger picture.
Well, that's not bad.
Certain relatives are ruled by the houses involved with eclipses, so you may hear news about an aunt, uncle, cousin, in-law, sister, or brother. If you do travel, family may want to reach you, so you won't want to be out of touch.
Again: relatives cause Teh Drama, and don't go anywhere.
If you were born on or within five days of November 2, you will feel this lunar eclipse the most. One way or another, you will benefit from it, so don't freak if things seem to be going in all the wrong direction as you begin to experience the eclipse. (I am not saying you will feel this day, but if you do.) You are moving into one of the most sterling years in recent memory, so 2010 will certainly not be a rerun of last year.
I dunno, I am dreading 2010 big time. If I make it through the year employed it'll probably be a miracle. My solar return chart was pretty shitty about it.

Well, I don't know about you, but I felt a kick in the ass for one of mine right there. SO the issue these days.
Hoo boy...
"Thankfully, slow-movers such as Saturn and Pluto go through their cycle of an aspect in about nine months, or three seasons (this counts for personal transits as well, though the actual range of influence of any aspect is much longer). It’s vital to make adjustments through gradually working out of the process, rather than getting wrenched into a new reality in one eruption. Yes, eruptions still happen, but they are usually part of a gradual pressure release — and the sooner we initiate our changes, the better. One problem with this theory is that change often involves others, and human nature resists. Therefore, the best you can do is work on your own resistance.
That last sentence is darned good advice.
Hey! I'm a Taurus and I DON'T LIKE THAT!
Taurus:
You are in the midst of a stroke of good fortune regarding what we here in the Western world call ‘profession’. The question lurking beneath this theme is, what do you profess? Who do you say you are, and what is its relationship to what you do, or want to do? It’s time to align your theories, your goals and your actions. It would help if you aspire to more than you think you are capable of. It would help if you accept, with total willingness, the need to
inconvenience yourself in order to attain your stated objectives.
So, how did he know how my Thanksgiving went?
When I say help, I mean truly assist you in getting out of your previous pattern. For you, any truly satisfying professional experience must be humanitarian in nature, though I propose you take a wide view of this concept; not ‘doing good’, but rather acting as if to hold the world together. There is an essential, even urgent ingredient involved in breaking out of your individualism and being willing to participate, and openly seek the cooperation of others. T his involves accepting the extent to which you have felt that you don’t fit in — and then daring to do something about it. That is a step on the way to something greater — what you might call locally aware global consciousness, and acting on that basis alone.Scorpio:
You will need your best Scorpio radar to navigate your professional life for the next few months, though I can boil matters down to a few basic concepts. First, pay attention to the ways you work against your own cause. This could be by focusing on goals that are no longer valid, or basing decisions on values that you outgrew years ago. Second and more significant involves distinguishing your emotional trip from that of the people around you. Nobody would call you a conformist, but you’re often under pressure to ‘feel the way you’re supposed to feel’ rather than the way you actually feel; which is to say, be scared of what everyone else is scared of. This is your challenge in group situations: this pressure leads you to feel like you’re trapped, yet if you express how you actually feel, you’ll be excommunicated. Here you have a great place to start when it comes to understanding your family’s influence on you. On one level things seemed friendly and open, but you lived with a measure of tyranny that you’re just beginning to understand.
What you learn about yourself over the next few weeks will take you a long way toward freedom. You are growing toward the understanding that what was previously defined as rebellion is not rebellion at all; it is simply being yourself. And this will change your life.
"For many years in the recent past, it had seemed like the subversive spirit of the 1960s (which accomplished so much so fast before devolving into the disillusionment of the early-'70s) merely disappeared into the ethers, never to be heard from again. By all appearances, we integrated the '60s advances, then dug our heels in and nursed a pendulum swing back toward conservatism. But that subversive spirit didn't die. It simply reserved itself in latency, waiting for the right time to reemerge.
According to the astrological clock, that time has now come. Beginning last year, with Pluto's arrival in Capricorn and the first exact Saturn-Uranus opposition, the next evolutionary step in what was born during the 1960s has gradually begun to show its colors. A highly unstable but deeply necessary crisis-point has been reached, where things simply cannot proceed any further according to the existing attitudes and approaches. There is no choice but to spend the first half of this next decade (the 2010s) recreating our society, reintroducing reformist vocabulary from our previous episode of 'revolutionary cultural change' into today's vernacular. And as a natural side-effect, some of us will ache during the messy transitions."
